AIED - form mock up

Today, I had the opportunity to utilize Google Gemini, an advanced tool designed for generating and modifying various forms and documents, to enhance a credit card authorization response form. My task was to create a mock-up that accurately represented how the system would display surcharge information received from the credit card processor. This involved not only inserting a new line of text into the existing format but also ensuring that this addition seamlessly integrated with the overall aesthetic of the document. Specifically, I needed to ensure that the new bullet point matched the style and formatting of the other bullet points already present in the image, including font type, size, and color, to maintain visual consistency throughout the form. When I engage in the process of creating these mock-up forms, I often rely on a variety of tools, each serving a specific purpose to achieve the desired outcome. Historically, I have utilized a very basic paint application, which allows me to take the core image of the form and manipulate it as needed. This process typically involves a series of steps, such as copying the original image, pasting it into the application, and then employing various methods like text box insertions and copy-pasting text to create a rough draft of the form that I can later propose to the programming and development teams. The time investment for creating a simple form in this manner can range from 20 to 30 minutes, which, while manageable, can feel lengthy, especially when multiple tests or revisions are required. However, with the capabilities of Google Gemini, I was able to streamline this process significantly. In fact, I managed to complete the necessary modifications and finalize the mock-up in under five minutes. The results were impressive, far surpassing the quality of any work I could have produced using traditional methods within such a short timeframe. The efficiency and effectiveness of Google Gemini not only saved me time but also enhanced the visual appeal and professionalism of the mock-up, making it a valuable tool in my workflow.
